Behind Xu Jia Hui’s Grand Gateway, on the outdoor strip, I believe I managed to circumnavigate death as I stood before Heaven’s pearly gates and what wait beyond all-you-can-eat barbecue, Brazilian style, at Latina Latin Music and Restaurant.
With winter whistling through Shanghai, we passed on the outdoor seating and headed in to cozier surroundings. Attractive tiling, stones and wood mingled well with the smell of sizzling meat creating a deliciously warm atmosphere.

“Word of mouth” is such a powerful tool. For restaurants it will constantly and consistently determine their legacy (or not), as the case maybe. Alameda is one such restaurant. Having received awards three years running in reader voted restaurant polls, this Euro-Brazilian restaurant is as frequently name-dropped as Da Dong Roast Duck. Personally, I can’t see what the fuss is all about.
