One of the top dim sum brunches.
When it comes to traditional dim sum, it is all about value. The key criteria being great tasting food at a low price and if they have great service and nice décor those are an added bonus. Zen5es gets it right with these dishes, which are the essentials of Dim Sum:
Har Gao -- my favorite of all dim sum dishes. Encased in a dumpling-like skin with two shrimp with tiny pieces of bamboo. This dish is steamed, and the shrimp fairly plump.Prawny and oily, this is a most agreeable dish.
Saveurs is very different to the Korean restaurants of Wudakouw. Set in traditional Nanlugu Xiang, it offers a gentrified experience amongst the authentic hutong atmosphere making Saveur a sophisticated choice.
In less than a year, Zen 1903 has received four various people’s choice awards.
When it comes to eating, I am very spontaneous. It’s about what comes to mind at the very moment when I am hungry–a recipe from a cookbook, a mouthwatering picture online, or a sudden craving, or the Weekend Dim Sum Brunch at Zen 1903….
With a large variety of dim sum, and Cantonese dishes, we barely made a dent in the menu but were able to span the categories of choosing.
Tangy, tasty and kind of naughty.
Daya Prasad has one goal, “don’t copy-don’t follow the crowd- and create something new”. This is his mission at Mirch Masala, and one that shines through his boisterous, passionate personality.
If one is craving pizza, than go to Pizza Hut, but if one appreciates pizza than go to La Pizza.
Chef Giuseppe De Stefano definitely owns the place. A very relaxed, hefty Italian, he chats with customers in English and Italian and prepares the cuisine himself. When he speaks, one can feel the pride and passion in his tone for his food. Napoli has come to Beijing. In the form of the famous wood oven, Chef Stefano has brought with him the traditions of his people and a few extra Italian products along too.
This is Texan staple food.
Tim’s Texas BBQ – each of these three words has a strong impact on the experience you will have at this establishment. But let me explain in detail.
In its own class of Middle Eastern delights, there is no other place I would go.
I have to admit, I usually don’t like Persian or Arabian cuisine, but Rumi Grill has set the bar. With prices catered for a mid-range level, the food quality is actually more than above average. The kebabs are some of the best I have ever had, and Rumi is an excellent place to go for incredibly prepared meat kebabs.
Quiet, inoffensive, authentic Cantonese food.
The hotel was very clean and neat, and as we were shown to the private dining room, we noticed how quiet it was. There was no music and no other guests (perhaps because it was a Monday night?) so this would be a good place to perhaps invite a business partner if you had important or private things to discuss. The hotel only opened in 2008, so everything is still very new.
A great place to take visitors for an adventure to an out of the way place hiding great Chinese food.
First of all, this place is difficult to find. The best way to get there is to walk up from Tongan Li subway through Exit A, and walk up Dondaqiao to the Guanghua Road intersection. Then turn right and walk just past the big Soho mall. Immediately go into the small side alley next to it, and then take a left and keep turning till you see Upper Room.
Good quality food, large portions, generous cocktails, all for cheap prices in a very cool low key lounge.
Now there is a place where you can have a French Soiree meal without paying the price. Alfa, mostly knows for its famous 80s dance nights, is also a stately fusion restaurant offering everything from South East Indian to German meals around 28-48rmb.
