On this particular visit, I was treated to a casual and relaxing dinner at the Butterfly Laguna Restaurant. With its interior of off-white painted brick and matching wooden framework, I could see that this was a place for people to simply enjoy the time spent with friends as they took a little break from the power-shopping experience of walking up and down Hangzhou's bustling Nan Shan Road. With a host of bars, clubs, and seemingly endless shopping, this street wraps around the west side of the lake, and promises to tire out even the most resilient of shoppers.
This brunch experience is not only an amazing deal but guaranteed to make you commit the deadly sin of gluttony.
Hilton Wangfujing’s Fizztastic Champagne Brunch is one for the history books. Filled with endless Taittinger champagne, live cooking stations, an endless row of dim sum, and almost mountains of cotton candy, cakes, and fondue, the Hilton will send you leaving with awe!

Practically every five-star hotel worth its salt offers a medley of free-flow alcohol, dishes cherry-picked from every inhabitable part of the globe, and chefs with world-renown credentials. After three or four of these culinary extravaganzas, it becomes difficult to recall which buffet served up the best tiramisu, offered the most choices of sushi, or displayed the biggest chandelier. In a sea of these cookie-cutter buffets, Mosaic Restaurant at the Sofitel Shanghai Hyland has developed a unique approach that guarantees their meal will be stand out from the crowd.
What better way (gastronomically speaking) to spend your Sunday, you may wonder, than by enjoying a leisurely brunch at Red Orange restaurant. Our BFIC team visited the Crowne Plaza Sun Palace in Beijing recently to investigate.
Every Sunday between 11:30am and 15:00pm, the granite worktops in Red Orange restaurant are loaded with everything from meatballs and sashimi to chicken korma and cheesecake as part of the hotel's 198 RMB "3F Sunday Bruncher". The 3F apparently refers to three tag words: friends, fresh and fun.
Diverse and satisfying, the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel buffet offered a haven from the fast paced tourist dives of Wangfujing.
What do you get when you cross the American nineteen-seventy’s Funky Chicken with a ninety-eighty’s Beijing Duck, well, it seems an eclectic hybrid of goodtime oldies and never-let-rest love ballads, all summed up quite fittingly in one nondescript word, Icons, a restaurant cum entertainment venue.
Regardless of your preference in cuisine or how picky you may be, the Sunflower Court will fill your belly. Situated less than a block away from the Xujiahui metro station, this restaurant is good for everyone and is the perfect end to a busy day.
