You’ll find the Moonsha restaurant at 5 Zhong Shan Dong or, as most foreigners know it, 5 the Bund. Situated on the third floor below the much famed restaurant ‘5 on the Bund’, Moonsha is very different from its illustrious neighbour. It mixes high quality Japanese cuisine with a décor that, with its deep red and black colours, is reminiscent of Shanghai back in the 20’s and 30’s.
With several locations in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and now Shanghai, the Sweet Dynasty is undoubtedly a popular place to sample classic Cantonese style food. The restaurant’s success lies in its unique desserts, its affordably priced yet tasty and abundant dishes, and its gracious yet unpretentious and comfortable atmosphere.
A classic venue in an historic hotel, Bai Yu Lan uses its limited space extremely well, providing each table with a private atmosphere accompanied by easy on the ear traditional live music.
Set in a well-maintained tree-lined garden, J. B. House maintains a pleasantly private and quiet environment. Decorated throughout with bamboo, the simplistic lobby has a real flavour of elegance, whilst the dining space available is very comfortable.
A spacious design mathed with exquisite detail. Diaphanous porcelain table wares add a flavor of elegance. The live Chinese folk music show makes for perfect background music.
