One of the top dim sum brunches.
When it comes to traditional dim sum, it is all about value. The key criteria being great tasting food at a low price and if they have great service and nice décor those are an added bonus. Zen5es gets it right with these dishes, which are the essentials of Dim Sum:
Har Gao -- my favorite of all dim sum dishes. Encased in a dumpling-like skin with two shrimp with tiny pieces of bamboo. This dish is steamed, and the shrimp fairly plump.Prawny and oily, this is a most agreeable dish.
In less than a year, Zen 1903 has received four various people’s choice awards.
When it comes to eating, I am very spontaneous. It’s about what comes to mind at the very moment when I am hungry–a recipe from a cookbook, a mouthwatering picture online, or a sudden craving, or the Weekend Dim Sum Brunch at Zen 1903….
With a large variety of dim sum, and Cantonese dishes, we barely made a dent in the menu but were able to span the categories of choosing.
Quiet, inoffensive, authentic Cantonese food.
The hotel was very clean and neat, and as we were shown to the private dining room, we noticed how quiet it was. There was no music and no other guests (perhaps because it was a Monday night?) so this would be a good place to perhaps invite a business partner if you had important or private things to discuss. The hotel only opened in 2008, so everything is still very new.
Binjiang District may not elicit the same feelings for most visitors as the heart of Hangzhou does, but for the people who call Binjiang their home and place of business, it's a start. Urban sprawl is the dominant theme in this part of the city, as the southeast end of town spreads beyond the Qiantang River, and out to empty fields of flatlands that perhaps saw better days as farmland a few years ago.
The New Ritz Carlton Dim Sum Weekend Lunch takes Chinese dining to new and unreachable heights.
The Ritz-Carlton’s new Dim Sum weekend buffet lunch is the place to take guests if you want to impress them with amazing finest quality Chinese cuisine. Better than the local hideaway Chinese restaurants most would be biased to think as better and authentic, the Yu restaurants dim sum is the tastiest and most spectacular you will ever find, I guarantee it. Throw your smug prejudice to the wind and simply go. You need to while you are in China, and this is why:
A meal so good you may want to spend the night.
In the great universe of fine dining too many people overlook the hotel restaurant assuming it must be overpriced and sub-par. Hotel Nikko’s Tao Li Chinese restaurant is trying to change the way people think about hotel food, one diner at a time.
Mandarin Pavilion offers delicious Cantonese cuisine and is a great place to entertain visiting friends or business colleagues.
After spending three summer months in Guangzhou on an extended business trip, my aversion to humidity grew immensely alongside my newfound appreciation for Cantonese cuisine. I loved how Cantonese dishes were qing dan, light and non-greasy, complementing the sticky weather. I reveled in the adventurousness of Cantonese fare, in which no animal organ or rare animal was too exotic to be eaten.
There's nothing quite like getting a second chance in life, and it's especially rewarding when you're given another opportunity to visit the Crystal Jade Garden Restaurant at Xihu Tiandi in Hangzhou, China for a great dinner. This venue sits next to the famed West Lake, and is a favorite spot for curious tourists, weekend visitors, and weekday regulars alike. I was given my first try of Crystal Jade's offerings almost a year ago, when I was a newcomer to Hangzhou... and it came at a time when I had still not been introduced to some of the city's best dining yet.
The restaurant itself spans at least three floors, boasting its massive capacity by channeling customers up the four tier escalator in the middle of the restaurants open balcony. Idle hostesses at every level communicate with each other using walkie-talkies, and direct you to the next escalator or to your private dining room once you have reached your floor. Note that you can also opt to not take the scenic route, and ride the elevator up and down between floors.
Located on the second floor of the Guomao Ritz Carlton, Yu is a tea-themed Cantonese restaurant with a modern flair. The interior is swathed in lucky red and dark wood with golden beige accent pieces, which creates a feeling of warmth and comfort. Attention is paid to even minute details, from the tea corner to the silk wrapped menus. But while the entrée menus are impressive, the tea list is simply unique. The menu includes a dozen tea samples encased within the menu next to a detailed description and benefits of each type of tea.
