Zongiia boasts a spacious dining chamber with simple and modern interiors. Eschewing the outward totemic representations of Korean culture, only the tempting aromas of Seoul—style barbecue and its accompanying sauces identifies its cuisine of choice.
After being seated, diners have a choice of more than twenty appetizersall served in a strict traditional order. Fresh raw beef is a signature dish of this restaurant. The sliced beef is spherically displayed and surrounded by sliced white radish and green peppers. A brilliant yellow yolk, is laid on top of it (as much for artistic effect as from any culinary imperative!). Stirred with soy sauce, vinegar, sauce wine, garlic, ginger, sugar, sesame and pear juice. the fresh and unfrozen low-fat beef tastes heavenly alongside the pear juice. Another highlight of the menu is the Sirtoin beef. Here it is presented with a marble-like grain appearance after initial toasting on a thick iron grill. Once the white grain has faded, accompanied by the beautiful sound and aroma of the meat cooking, the addition of a piquant Korean sauce and lattice leaves makes for a truly memorable teste experience.
All kinds of Korean wine, rice wine, Japanese wine and beer (from mild to strong) are on offer.
The service is in a typically sophisticated Korean style: considerate and meticulous with a well-organized procedure of ordering, serving and barbecuing.
