Cascading water and succulent foliage accompanies the would-be diner up the stairs to the Cui Ting Xuan Restaurant. A wooden Buddha by the entrance enhances its Southeast Asian feel.
Cui Ting Xuan is known for its creative Shanghai cuisine. In the cold dish of iced Chinese kale, traditional Chinese vegetables are placed in crystal ice prior to being dipped in mustard and soy for refreshing and crisp snack? It looks appealing and tastes wonderful, furthermore it's a distinctly healthy dish! The goose meat in the Stewed smoked goose in soy sauce is soft and a little bit chewy. It is flavoured to exactly the right degree, tasting delicious and fraIgrant, but with a hint of sweetness. The hot dish of Dual iade shfimps is also worth recommending. The flesh shrimp is bisected and then served whilst perfectly tender. Accompanying this there is dry shrimp with a well-balanced sally taste. The tight dry shrimp and the tender flesh shrimp are creatively mached and very impressive. The snack of Banked egg tart with bird's nest is worth noting for its iced outside and cream within. This is the perfect dessert to follow the entree.
A full list is available at Cui Ting Xuan. It should be noted that the welcome tea is also of a very high quality.
Because of the dimmed lighting, each table has a bell to summon the waiting staff - a considerate and efficient arrangement.
