Buddy Bear Restaurant is ideal for fuss-free family dining. Using only olive oil and no monosodium glutamate or preservatives in the food, this restaurant focuses on food quality and nutrition. It aims to provide its diners with healthy options. Fresh ingredients are used in the creatively presented meals. If you are considering a private themed party, there are various themes to choose: Happy Hawaiian, Native Indian, Enchanted Princess, amongst others. With a monthly theme to the restaurant, this April, experience Easter with Buddy Bear.
With a pirate ship in the foyer, a colourful wall depicting the voyage of Buddy Bear’s grandpa and a marine inspired décor, this restaurant is a popular choice for young families looking for a good, value-for-money meal.
Start your meal experience with the must-have Mixed Beef Cake (¥28), a quesadilla served with home-made salsa which delivers a fiery punch to the taste buds. Follow this with a Creamy Clam Chowder (¥22), made with fresh cream, served in a bread bowl. Taken together, the chowder helps to neutralize the fiery salsa. Order a grapefruit and yoghurt drink as well. It’s refreshing and not too sweet.
Try the Pepper Steak (¥42), a beef fillet steak sautéed with black mushrooms in a sweet, lightly peppered sauce with a generous sprinkle of pine nuts. The soft texture of these beef morsels coupled with the sweet flavour of its sauce ensures its popularity with adults and kids alike.
At ¥38, the Honey Walnut Shrimp is value-for-money indeed. Served with a generous portion of shrimps drizzled in a special white sauce on a bed of julienne lettuce and sliced cucumber topped with walnuts, it is no wonder this is a house speciality popular with the diners.
For a taste of Chinese, I tried the Boiled Seasonal Kale ((¥22), a deliciously crunchy dish of boiled asparagus stir-fried with salted egg yolk. The Cream Pudding Dessert not only looks but tastes delicious too.
Meal Purpose: Parents with kids (3-8 years), teens and young dating couples. Interactive entertainment shows are held every weekend beginning on Friday. With ample space for themed parties, this is a kid’s party venue to commemorate that special occasion.
