No one would expect the Hooters in Beijing to have the best wings out of all of them.

Hooters is a sports restaurant that is synonymous with pretty well-endowed girls and tasty chicken wings. They have a reputation that has made them a success with people all over the world. However, I bet no one would expect the Hooters in Beijing to have the best wings out of all of them.

I recently visited both a Hooters in the US and in Nottingham England, and thought it would be great to compare them to Beijing’s. The orange quintessential décor and comforting wood furnishings make you feel warm and happy, like you really are in a local hang out with friends and family. The girls are considered the heart and soul of Hooters, and they are friendly with great English even if they are not as buxom as their US counterparts. However, in the end the food speaks for itself.

First and yes, the portions are US standard large, so don’t doubt coming here. However more importantly, the food quality is not only surprising but fantastic. The mushroom burger is hand made and arrives fresh and juicy and plump! The smell lingers and makes you lust for the first bite, and the perfectly cooked to order patty and succulent mushrooms with melted Swiss cheese simply melts through the burger. The crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion brightens the flavor, and the burger is eaten all too quickly. It Is competitive with Lets Burger and Blue Frogs and cheaper, at 65 rmb.

The Beef quesadilla (62rmb) is another surprise. Where as you would expect a gooey greasy melted quesadilla, this one is fresh, with excellent filet beef, yes filet, and the vegetables and cheese are lightly blended so that you can taste each aspect.

The garden salad comes with amazing ranch dressing, on the side, so that calorie conscious people can choose to dress the salad or not, and the side order of celery and carrots are large fresh and chunky.

The 3mild wings were breaded and sour yet spicy, and tasty though not the best. With 8 different sauces though you are bound to find one you love, and we found the Hot Wing, which was actually mild and tender and great. They were better than the USA’s. Why? Because they are not as greasy as theirs and allow the sauce and meat to blend perfectly.

Their vanilla ice cream was rich and luscious, even though the light sweet cheesecake was tasty but could have had more of a biscuit crust taste.

Throughout the meal, my husband was having mouth spasms. He was in love with the burger, wings, and quesadilla and couldn’t stop taking about them the day after. Personally, I don’t know why we haven’t tried this place before. Not only is the food tastier than the US but less calories too! It is the perfect spot to go after a game, and the food is incredible and the atmosphere cozy and fun. With great recipes and quality ingredients, plus amazing daily deals Hooters is a place to visit weekly and make your to go to spot.
