I want to share with you all a little secret here in Shanghai. Tucked away along the Huangpu River in the middle of the Shanghai World Expo zone is the 5-star Intercontinental Shanghai Expo hotel. I was impressed by the hotel’s service and ambiance from the moment I walked into the lobby. As the attentive staff helped to alleviate me from my baggage, I was free to explore the spacious and tasteful lobby decorations. Most noticeably is the majestic rainbow-colored carpet abstractly depicting scenes along the neighboring Huangpu River and sprawled out in the middle of the lobby floor.
